Did you know there isn’t one solid study that demonstrates that exercise results in weight loss? Although exercise is probably the absolute best thing you can do to live a long, healthy life, it isn’t a magic cure for excess weight. In fact, many patients with excess weight have a lot of inflammation and aches and pains that make exercising miserable. That’s why we always start with nutritional biochemistry as our first-line treatment. Once that inflammation is reduced, getting the body moving is a much easier task! And, contrary to what many people think, moving the body isn’t limited to machines and gyms. There are a lot of ways to improve the physical fitness of the human body that don’t require running in place!
